One to One Leadership Coaching

Creating space to think clearly and navigate change

One to one leadership coaching offers a confidential space to pause, reflect and think clearly about the challenges of leading in complex public sector environments.

I work alongside leaders to explore what is happening for them, helping them gain insight, build confidence and identify practical ways forward.

Areas Leaders Often Bring to Coaching

How Coaching Works

Most coaching conversations begin with what is most present for you — a situation you are facing, a decision you are grappling with, something you want to understand more clearly or a longer-term goal.

My role is to create a space where we can explore that together.

Sometimes that means talking things through.
Sometimes it’s silence and space to think.
Sometimes writing things down or looking at the situation from a different perspective.

By staying with the issue long enough, something often begins to shift. New insights emerge, different possibilities appear and you gain a clearer sense of what you want to do next.

Together we explore:

  • where you have control

  • where you have influence

  • what small actions might help move things forward

In demanding leadership roles, having space to pause, reflect and think clearly can be incredibly valuable.

Ways We Can Work Together

Different people need different levels of support. Coaching may involve a single focused conversation, a short series of sessions, or a deeper piece of work over time.

  • Coaching for Transformation

    7 X ONE-HOUR SESSIONS (ONLINE)

This is my signature coaching programme which is a deep coaching process focused on a significant leadership goal or transition.

Together we clarify what you want to achieve, explore the challenges and opportunities ahead, and develop a clear and sustainable way forward.

This work often brings greater clarity, confidence and resilience.

  • Exploratory Coaching

    3 X ONE-HOUR SESSIONS (ONLINE)

Exploratory coaching offers a short series of sessions where we can work more deeply on several areas of leadership.

This might include building confidence, navigating a new role, managing complex relationships or developing your leadership presence.

The space between sessions allows time for reflection, experimentation and learning.

  • Thinking Partner

    90-MINUTE SESSION (ONLINE)

Sometimes you simply need a confidential space to think something through with someone objective.

A thinking partner session provides a focused conversation where we explore a specific issue together and identify practical ways forward.

These conversations often help leaders move from feeling stuck to seeing new possibilities.

“I worked with Emma as a coaching client, and found her to be a fantastic strategic sounding board with great knowledge of the real challenges we face at the corporate level. Her ability to adapt and ensure there is focus on the right things is exceptional. With a balance of support and challenge, I never came away from a session with Emma without a plan that was going to make you be much more productive. Most importantly, the plan always included how you are going to take care of yourself better too. It was a great experience to work with Emma, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to everyone!”

This conversation gives you the opportunity to talk through your situation and consider how we might work together.
