Team Coaching

Helping leadership teams build trust and work well together

Team coaching helps leadership teams step back from day-to-day pressures and reflect on how they work together.

I create reflective and engaging spaces where teams can explore challenges openly, deepen understanding of themselves and each other, and strengthen how they lead together within local government and the wider public sector.

How Team Coaching Works

Through structured conversations, facilitated workshops and reflective exercises, teams develop a deeper understanding of themselves, each other and the dynamics within the team.

This work often involves honest conversations, curiosity and the courage to explore different perspectives. As trust grows, teams become more open in how they communicate, challenge each other constructively and support one another.

The focus is always practical — helping teams strengthen how they work together so they can lead more effectively and deliver the best possible outcomes for their organisation and communities.

Team Coaching Programme

Each programme is designed specifically for the team and organisation, ensuring it reflects the real challenges leaders are facing.

The aim is to increase awareness of individual leadership styles, strengthen relationships within the team and develop how the team works together for optimal performance.

Although every programme is bespoke, the work often begins with discovery conversations with individual team members to understand the team’s context, strengths and priorities.

From there, the programme may include:

• Psychometric insight such as DISC
• Facilitated workshops on leadership and team dynamics
• Individual coaching sessions
• Peer learning and reflection

Over time the focus shifts to applying learning directly to real leadership challenges.

“In a period of uncertainty, Emma designed and ran a series of workshops for my team, giving us the space we needed to reflect on our individual and team strengths, while guiding us to collectively shape the values and behaviours we would use as an anchor through change. Emma was brilliant to work with, with just the right balance of emotional intelligence and common sense, helping us navigate a sensitive challenge with warmth and pragmatism.”

Director, Public Sector

If you are interested in developing your leadership team, the first step is a conversation to explore your context and what would be most helpful.

From there, I design a bespoke programme that supports the team’s development and goals.
